Jean Hoss, doctor at law, became a member of the Luxembourg Bar in 1961, and was one of the founders of the firm Elvinger & Hoss in 1964. He was President of the Luxembourg Bar (Bâtonnier) in 1991-1992.
He has been a lecturer at the "Université libre de Bruxelles" and at the "Centre Universitaire de Luxembourg".
He is also a member of the "Institut Grand-Ducal, Section des Sciences Morales et Politiques", as well as vice chairman of the "Fondation du Musée d’Art Moderne Grand-Duc Jean" and chairman of the foundation in charge of the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.
He is the author of articles among others in the field of tax law.
His main areas of activity are banking, commercial, financial, corporate and tax law as well as property law.
