André Hoffmann, "maître en droit" from the University of Strasbourg (France), joined Elvinger, Hoss & Prussen as a partner in February 2006.
After initial experience at the Luxembourg Bar in 1984, he integrated one of the major Luxembourg banks where he headed the Legal and Tax department before joining the firm in 2006. His experience of more than 20 years in the banking industry allowed him to gain extensive expertise in banking, finance, and corporate law as well as in regulatory issues. He has intensively practised mergers and acquisitions and restructurings on a local and cross-border basis.
He lectures on banking law in the Master in European Law (European banking and finance law) at Luxembourg University.
He was a member of the committee of lawyers with the regulator of the financial sector (CSSF) and of the board of directors of the bankers association (ABBL). He chairs the Luxembourg association of banking law (ALJB).
